Comfort, according to the Cambridge Dictionary refers to a pleasant feeling of being relaxed. Different people have varying ideas of what comfort is. The purpose of this post is to explore the notion of “comfort” and what it truly means.
As you are aware, The Carrot Patch is a coworking space (shame on you if you don’t already know that! Click on the link to read about us!), serviced office, collaborative space, shared space or whatever you would like to call it. Just do a simple search online and you will find many coworking spaces out there, emphasizing on their flexibility, beautiful spaces, stunning views, in-the-heart-of-it-all location, fantastic events, you snooze you lose networking events and what have you. But look closer, none of them actually tell you their coworking space is comfortable! Isn’t that the most basic criteria one would look for in a work space? Well apparently not.
It may seem bias to you but it is the truth – The Carrot Patch IS a comfortable coworking space. We may not have the luxurious interior design or fancy touches other workspaces have. We may not have founders with a colourful background, we may not even be right smack in town but what we do have, is comfort.
Like what you see? Well, that pretty much sums up the experience at The Carrot Patch: Laid back, casual and comfortable.
You come in any time you like in any type of clothing you fancy. Shorts, singlet and flip flops on a sweltering hot day? Sure. What about hoodie and berms? No problem. Shirt and tie? Go ahead. Need I say more? We are THAT flexible. You don’t have to worry about feeling out of place or your desk neighbor giving you the odd once-over. The Carrot Patch is an unpretentious space and you are free to just be yourself and focus on what you do best without distractions.
On top of that, “comfort” not only indicates a complete state of relaxation, but also not having to worry about issues. Issues like getting funding for your projects. We understand how tricky that can be.
For the benefit of our dear readers, I will let you in on something.
Pssst…The Carrot Patch has pooled together approximately S$6 million to invest in promising startups that are members of the space. Eager to find out more? Well visit our page and drop us a note! We are more than happy to discuss.
